MODIS Satellite Images of Alaska

GINA works cooperatively with the USGS Alaska Volcano Observatory (AVO) and BLM Alaska Fire Service (AFS), providing real time satellite imagery and data to identify, map, and track volcanic eruptions and ash clouds.

These images may be republished freely but must be credited as: "University of Alaska - GINA www.gina.alaska.edu".

Real-Time MODIS imagery is automatically added to the SwathViewer and is available to GoogleEarth users at kml.gina.alaska.edu.
